Reading as part of an online read-a-long in preparation for the made for TV version airing on A&E in December. This is my first Stephen King book.

King is a master at scary stories. This is about a widower who goes to his “cabin” in the woods to try to begin writing again. A flat lander who has always been agreeable to the locals suddenly becomes a pariah when thy learn that he’s trying to help a single mother and her child.
