AUGH why isn't the 4th book out yet??? At first I was annoyed that this isn't a trilogy but I get it, there are too many threads here to be resolved in 3 books. But I don't wanna waaaait. >:(
I love these characters, I love this world, I want to go back and re-read all of these and also I want to travel forward in time and read the next one. ...more

OH MY GOD WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR BOOK 4??
My undying love for Steifvater's work only grows-- the language in this particular installment is so beautiful and sharp, and yet doesn't bog down the speed of the plot, which is breakneck and breathless. I found myself wanting to read more than I wanted to eat, even though I was hungry.

I just want to move into 300 Fox Way. They have another closet I can hide in, right? Or I'll take the attic, since Gwenllian seems to prefer the birch tree. Also, I want to spend some quality time inside Piper's head.

I enjoyed this, but at the same time I found myself very irritated by it.
I think I might just be OVER the Raven Boys. They are annoying and I don't like them. They feel like two dimensional cut outs that have been spatter painted with "quirks" that I suppose are meant to be charming but instead feel archetypal.
Adam is The Poor One, and tediously bitter about it.
Ronan is a dick.
Noah is Nothing.
Ganzey (who truly is Dick) is a MannySue.
Blue is the Manic Pixie Girl.

My favorite of the series so far - probably because the focus is on Blue who is a great YA book hero.
I enjoyed this series. But I'm harrumphing because I thought it was a trilogy... And it's not over yet! Now to wait for the next...
