It totally holds up. I was a little nervous that coming back a couple of decades later would dull the magic of the book, but it's just as good as ever. Montgomery's writing is INCREDIBLE. The two things that are the most amazing to me are 1) her descriptions of Prince Edward Island and 2) the amazing way that Anne gradually matures over the course of the book.
