While not exactly J. Green, R. Rowell has a way of stirring up some nostalgia for her older readers in the YA market. For the love of long-gone, worn out mix tapes and the waning art of (real mail) postcards ... enjoy.
Oh man, I loved it. I loved everything about it!
Wow, sometimes you forget how messed up teen love can be and how first loves can really mess with your head. Apart from a few places where you had to take a leap of faith (i.e. the mysterious racism that was never shown), Rainbow Rowell captured the unpredictability of a teen romance. Reminded me of Sixteen Candles and other 1980s teen romcoms.
adored this book. Such a great read. Drips with the angst of high school love. Have been re-reading parts since I finished it a few days ago.
