While not exactly J. Green, R. Rowell has a way of stirring up some nostalgia for her older readers in the YA market. For the love of long-gone, worn out mix tapes and the waning art of (real mail) postcards ... enjoy.

Wow, sometimes you forget how messed up teen love can be and how first loves can really mess with your head. Apart from a few places where you had to take a leap of faith (i.e. the mysterious racism that was never shown), Rainbow Rowell captured the unpredictability of a teen romance. Reminded me of Sixteen Candles and other 1980s teen romcoms.
