This was one of those audiobooks that I loved so much that it motivated me to do things like exercise and clean my house so I had an excuse to listen more. I suspected that I would like this book ever since it won an Alex Award and I'm not sure what made me wait so long to pick it up. Wil Wheaton does an excellent job narrating, although he does read slowly. I listen to him at 1.5 speed and it sounds normal to me. Highly recommended to geeks of all flavors.

So much wrong with this book.

Entertaining, fun and a fast read. If you are an 80's kid or you like video games and pop culture then this book is tons of fun. Just like The Martian, this book reads like it is script ready and Steven Spielberg is filming it for a 2018 release. My 13 year old and my husband also really enjoyed this book. You will follow the main character through many Virtual reality challenges in hopes of securing the coveted crystal egg if you give this book a read. Perfect summer entertainment!
