This was one of those audiobooks that I loved so much that it motivated me to do things like exercise and clean my house so I had an excuse to listen more. I suspected that I would like this book ever since it won an Alex Award and I'm not sure what made me wait so long to pick it up. So much wrong with this book.

It is stuffed with unnecessary words ("The Eighties was a long decade. Ten whole years."). Entertaining, fun and a fast read. If you are an 80's kid or you like video games and pop culture then this book is tons of fun. Certainly not my typical read but very engrossing. A boy in the dismal future living at 700 Portland in Oklahoma City begins a quest to play the ultimate game. The whole world is immersed in the alternative reality of OASIS, a computer driven scheme where one can travel multiple worlds
