I just realized that I dreamt this book didn't mention the children's peculiarities at all. (That is not, in fact, the case. Quite the opposite.) Aside from this boring dream, I don't have a whole lot else to say about this book. It was fine. I shelved it near the others in the event that my kid someday reads the first and finds it so captivating that he wants to plow through the trilogy, as I did.

I was strangely cranky toward this book for some reason. I really enjoyed the first two, but this time around I just kept poking for plot holes. I can't decide if I've lost interest in the series, or if this simply wasn't the right time to read it.

Loved the twists and turns. Dark, surprising, fun adventure.
Overall the series was fun and creative.
