I love variations on classic fairy tales, and I did love the beginning of Ms James "Kiss Before Midnight" ... one more try for Ms James.

I loved it!! The characters truly have a witty repartee - it's so tiresome when we are merely TOLD the characters are intelligent and witty, but we never SEE it. Not the case here! This book started quite slow. So slow, in fact that I considered putting it down. Then the two MC's met and the sparks just flew. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

I really liked the translation of the Beauty and the Beast tale into a Regency romance. Good elements, nice style - but what is up with the obssession with Regency era condoms? I took history of public health and farm-intestine condoms were a) hard to come by, b) gross, and c) REAALLY unreliable.
