I'm so excited to throw away all my stuff now!! This was super interesting and I can't stop talking about it now. There are a few things in here that are like, a little bit beyond? But overall, awesome and I think will be really good for me to put into practice.

Okay, I think I'm ready to KonMari my stuff! This guide to tidying and eliminating clutter is presented in a basic and easy to manage way. Some of Kondo's ideas veer a little too far into the spiritual for me, but I get her points and I'm excited to try it and I think it will make a difference. She offers practical solutions to discarding STUFF that doesn't bring you joy and organizing your home to make it a joyful place to live. I think partly because of cultural differences (probably a little lost in translation) and partly because the author is wacky obsessed with organizing and apparently has been since she was 5, the good advice in the book gets lost among the eccentric recommendations. Just reading the reviews you can see that people hate this book or love it.

Interesting touchy-feely book on getting rid of clutter and organizing personal belongings in the home. Author urges reader to tackle possessions by category (clothes, books, documents, etc.) and handle each item physically, asking if it brings joy. Simple approach but it sounds effective. The parts where she talks to inanimate objects regularly to thank them was a little weird to me, but a nice gesture.

This book makes big claims in being able to maintain tidiness if you follow her advice. But for some reason or another, I feel like it is all attainable. I went against her advice of doing it all in once big swoop, just because I wanted to see how a drawer of folded shirts would look. Amazingly, it did make me feel better!

This was inspiring, and also soothing. I was thrilled to realise, after reading the book, that there is also a Netflix show starring the author. I highly recommend both the book and the show.
