Absolutely fantastic! The beginning was kind of slow and disjointed and confusing, but stick with it! This book finally hits its stride, and by the halfway point I didn't want to set it down.

I'm not really sure where to start with this review, there are so many layers here. This is a fantasy in the best way, set in a different world that is both like ours and not like ours. This is a very solid 4.5 star book. I absolutely loved the world building and the characters. I could see myself being friends with the main characters. The conceit of the dragons taking human form and being emotionless, logic-driven creatures was excellent and compelling. I will definitely be picking up the next installments and am absolutely thrilled that there will be more opportunities to live in this world for awhile. I really enjoyed this fun dragon book. The spunky female lead was cranky and smart, without feeling like it was overdone. The male romantic interest was also smart, funny, courageous, and honest. It seems like in these fantasy romantic adventure books, the fellow is underwhelming, but i found this gentleman worth falling for. There is plenty of mystery and secrets.
