Eeeek! That was a fun read. I have a friend that cannot read/watch stories with any children in peril, and I kept thinking, this would be THE WORST book for her! Shout out to MT weather last night, which made it possible for me to finish this one up in the house alone while the rain poured outside and the wind gusted spookily. What was that noise?!

This book is pretty short and the story is taut - so much DREAD. Perfect for Halloween!

Not at all what I expected - a story told in two different times, then and now (and ain't neither of them any good). First, you have the...I'm not even sure what to call it. It's not really a pandemic in that it isn't a disease, exactly, but it kills nearly everyone on Earth. And THEN you have the "now" which is truly awful. How often do you find a Malorie?
