Now that I'm done listening to this audiobook, I really miss having Tina Fey's voice in my ear. Listening to this totally revived my big ol' Tina Fey crush -- she delivers her perfect mix of humor, feminism, social commentary, and intelligence here, and I think you'd miss out if you read the "paper" version since her inflections and imitations brought a lot to the stories. Tina Fey stays humble throughout (both with self-deprecating humor and with acknowledgment that there are much "bigger" prob

While I'm not an SNL fangirl and have never seen 30 Rock, I am on a comedy audiobook kick and though Baby Mama was hilarious. Tina Fey's Bossypants contributes to my goal of reading more memoirs by successful women and finding the audio version was a bonus. Fey's delivery is spot-on, and her accounts of growing up as an ambitious girl are both relatable and entertaining. I find it interesting that my male friends on goodreads collectively rated this book higher than my female friends...Regardles

I don't know. I mean, I love Tina Fey to death and I think she ushered in a new era in SNL and 30Rock etc in terms of feminist comedy. She's brilliant at TV. But this "memoir" didn't really hang together with any kind of narrative integrity. The different sections felt desultory at best and disjointed and random at worst-- so much so that I checked the audiobook case to see if I had accidentally picked up the abridged version. I hadn't. The title Bossypants wasn't even drawn through the whole na

Funny, and worth reading, but not as personal as I'd like. I wanted more stories about her life and the people in it, instead of funny essays about work. And that's probably my bad for judging it against what I wanted versus what it is.

Love the stories she tells about her personal life and her work. She's funny and honest. Probably more self-deprecating than she needs to be, but always so smart and charming. Definitely a recommended read.

I finished this way too long ago to write an adequate review. It was really funny. I think it would have been even funnier if I'd listened to it. Alas, I did not. It was also often surprisingly insightful. I have a bunch of funny and/or insightful quotes marked. But it's been so long that I really don't feel motivated to re-read and type them up. But trust me, it's a good quick read. I want to be Tina Fey's friend. The end.

This book taught me three things: 1. Tina Fey is even more amazing and awesome than I previously thought. 2. Memoirs, especially comedic memoirs, may be best enjoyed as audiobooks. 3. Comedic memoir audiobooks are best read by their authors.
I highly recommend this book, particularly in audiobook format.
I highly recommend this book, particularly in audiobook format.

I'm not sure why I was interested in reading this book since I am not a SNL or 30Rock fan. I thought it would be funnier than I found it. A few good points about being a boss as a female and on deciding whether to have a second child but not worth my time.
