What Members Thought
Alchemists are evil. At least in Richelle Mead's universe. The first half of this book is fairly angsty with Andrian off the wagon and Sydney playing Mara Dyer (The Evolution of Mara Dyer) all locked up in her ward and barfing everywhere. Things get a bit Twilighty with the romance in Las Vegas at one point and meanwhile I'm all, "Wait, I forgot we were talking about vampires..where's the blood?!?" But, fun! (view spoiler)

Ugh! Sometimes I can't believe I waste my time with these, but I've really liked the characters up until this much-anticipated books. Much-anticipated books are typically let-downs. This book is all plot and no character development; Adrian and Sydney just say the sappiest, hokiest things to each other. But there's something about a series: once I start, I can't really stop. And it was a quick read!
