1st read 3/4/14: Loved it! I'm enjoying how each book, individual plots, and characters have been distinctly different, yet held together by the friendships growing out of the knitting group.

It's also lovely to read about women with valid careers--that feel realistic, (i.e. not phoned in.)

More please, can't wait for 1.5 and #4.

First off, I have to say, I HATE THE COVER. Like, I HATE it with a passion. I hate the angle the photo was taken at and hate the fact that the focus of the woman is her boobs and her hidden crotch and spread legs. And the fact that she's wearing fish nets, which Sandra never wears, and fuzzy slippers, which Sandra also never wears. I like that she's wearing red since The Red Dress is a thing for Sandra and Alex, but The Red Dress is supposed to be strapless. As for the book itself, I really enjoyed it! So far I've read Knitting in the City books 1, 1.5, 2, 3 and 4 (I started with book 4, read the Winston Brothers, then went back and read Knitting in the City). Out of the other Knitting books, this one was my least favorite, but I still really enjoyed it.

Penny Reid is a compelling author and she writes great stories! Each book is SO different and tells a very unique love story but the characters still interweave seamlessly and totally fit together.

I won't go over the ins and outs of the story, I'm sure that's been done plenty of times. Sandra was a cool character. A bit older than the other ladies at 28 and then she falls for a much younger man. This was an interesting relationship to read about because I'm 30 and most of my male interaction is with men much younger than I. I've always been adamant about not dating someone more than 3 years younger than I, but this story may influence me to open my horizons a little bit!

Alex was an interesting hero. He's very different and the reason why I'd say I gave this book only 4 stars instead of 5. I loved him and Sandra together but I didn't like his resistance to share his past with her. I understand, based on the history Ms. Reid gave him, why he would behave that way, but I would never be willing to be with a person who resisted telling me about their past.

Once again, all the friends were involved in the shenanigans in the end of the book and I loved it! To have a group of friends who love you so much, they'd do pretty much anything to help you, is a wonderful blessing.

This book has one detailed love scene, and a few heavy petting/make out scenes. It's low on language and there's no violence.

This has been my favorite Penny Reid novel so far and only a few people will really understand how significant that is. It never ceases to amaze me how Reid can makes nerds so. Damn. Sexy.

For some reason, Love Hacked is a top favorite of mine in this series! I just love the reverse age gap with Sandra and Alex. Annnd maybe the fact that Alex had never been with anyone, YET this book is ridiculously steamy. SUCH a great slow-burn story! I am here for it. BIG LOVE from me for Sandra and Alex. He's is the hottest nerd I have read in quite some time. 5 zillion stars (bitcoin) for this one!
