4.5 'Happy Place' Stars
Yes, I've read this before. Multiple times. Even now and again you just want to cuddle with a loved book that doesn't require psychoanalysis to fully understand. It's fun, and familiar, and gives me warm fuzzies.
Can't wait for the series to continue though I *will* be patient because you can't rush a good thing. Maybe I'll do another re-read of #2, #3, and #4? We'll see.

This book is my happy place. It's lovely, and weird, and romantic, and geeky at times, with random bits of trivia (or as I like to refer to it: random useless facts - of which I have more than my fair share.) Janie is this amazeballs Amazon red-headed awkward goddess with a proclivity to spout odd knowledge in an almost Wikipedia type fashion (not literally a goddess, there is no paranormal shenanigans going on in this series) and she makes me laugh almost to the point of pissing myself. Loved this book! Was clench your thighs together hot without gratuitous sex scenes which is quite a feat if you ask me!
I loved how freaking weird Janie is (I can so relate) and how sexy Quinn is, and how much he seems to genuinely appreciate Janie's weirdness! They make a great couple.
I love that there were a few different subplots (Olivia, Jem, the Boss). Some were obvious but everything was always done well and I didn't mind at all.
The ending was HILARIOUS. Like I'm lying in bed giggling like ...more

OMG! So this book has been sitting in my Kindle for almost a year and I decided to finally give it a try after ANOTHER rec as a similar style book to others I've read and loved... I started laughing and chuckling to myself almost right from the start. What a great book! I absolutely LOVED the characters - all of them - but most especially Janie and Quinn.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read with fun characters and an interesting plot. I am excited to read more in the series.
