What Members Thought

I've been kind of hesitant to read this book. I read the first one and wasn't really into it but I love Penny Reid (especially the Knitting series), and I haven't read the second book because... well no good reason. But I decided to read this one because I've been waiting for Cletus' book because I loved him in book one. This book was eveything I hoped for. Everything about it was great, except Jennifer's family but that was kind of the point. I can't wait for the next one!

If I'm honest, I didn't think I was going to like this one.
From previous Winston Brothers books, I had imagined Cletus to be:
1. Naive
2. Socially inept
3. Simple-minded
4. I also hated his name.
Since reading, I know Cletus to be:
1. Astute
2. Socially competent, a true conversationalist really.
3. An intelligent and clever gentleman.
4. "Cletus" will never be my favorite name, but it is now attached to one of my favorite fictional characters.

Jennifer and Cletus
The Winston Brothers Series is one of my all time favorites. While I like all the siblings, Cletus is my favorite. Jennifer, The Banana Cake Queen, originally blackmails Cletus into helping her find a husband. He observed that she was repressed and totally controlled by her parents; he never realized that she wasn't at all the person he thought she was. Just like him looks were deceiving.
