There are a few things you should know about Cletus Winston.
1. Cletus isn't what he appears to be.
2. Cletus has a severe dislike of bullies.
3. Cletus likes to tinker--with cars and with people.
4. Cletus is the second most dangerous man in Green Valley.

Who knew that a character I pegged previously as minor, a humorous scene stealer, would become one of the best romantic reads of the year for me. It's about quirky. Parents. Siblings. Friends. Loves. Muffins. Pie. Sausage. Family.
This book felt like family.

Somehow Penny is able to take such distinct and unique characters and make them feel like your best friends (or at least people you'd like to be best friends with). Based on glimpses in the other Winston books, you knew Cletus was going to be highly entertaining, but the surprise was Jennifer. It was actually her strength and growth that was the real heart of the book. I can't express enough how wonderfully crazy this story is. I knew Cletus would be fantastic, but he exceeded all of my expectations. I laughed and laughed. On the other side, Jennifer Sylvester is a brave brave lady and I love how she fought against all the bullies in her life.
