I have been reading romance novels for a long time. I have read some that are absolutely wonderful - and I've had my fair share of stinkers that I couldn't even bring myself to finish. My favorites are ones that smolder but also make me laugh. Well Penny Reid has added a new element of favorite to my romances - and that is "the intelligence factor." What did I think? Hmmmm...I truly love this set of books! This one was full of emotion, rather than the usual hot sexiness...well OK, there was that as well...;o) Quinn's parents turned out to be lovely people, which I didn't expect. Kind of made this book have a softer feel, different in a way than book #1.
Moving on to book #2 will be interesting, because it looks like it doesn't center around Janie & Quinn. ...more

Frick! I love Quinn and Janie.
The ultimate pair.
A true delight.
The manifestation of a truly intuitive couple.

I was so pleased too see that Penny was working on an extension of their story. I find it hard to re-read novels and am often uninterested in sequels, as they fail to couple with the original writing. But this is a novel that I will likely come back to over and over again.
Neanderthal Marries Human worked more as a characterization of Quinn more than anything. Neanderthal Meets Human ...more
