Alright, some of you already know my everlasting love for Penny Reid. Does this by chance make my thoughts of this book prejudice? Perhaps, I mean the probability is high. That said I have said I don't always like books just because I love the previous books or because I like the author. If I have issue with a book I say it, or at least will not give it a 5, I don't blow smoke up other's butts, just not good at it. Sorry. So knowing that please realize this is how I truly feel about this book.

I FREAKING LOVED IT!! That said I am also glad I read it after the other books and even though it is book #1.5 I would recommend others read this series in the order written thus far, not necessarily the chronological order. Reading this book before book #2 will spoil it a smidgen and no one wants that right? Right.

So what did I dig about this book? Janie and Quinn of course! These two are amazingly fun characters to continue reading about and getting to know further. I love getting back into Janie's amazing head and even getting Quinn's thoughts too (dual POV baby!). There are not as many "hijinks" as in the first but this book is still filled with the witty dialogue, jokes, and moments. This is a very smart read that kept me grinning.

There isn't external drama pushing at this couple, this isn't about drama in fact. It is about these two crazily in love people learning more about one another and leaning on each other. This is about family, forgiveness and laying aside petty jealousies to realize there is no need for insecurities when you have the one you love.

Favorite scenes for me were Tower of London and Vegas. Read it and you will know why. Poor poor Stan. Least favorite character? That I wanted to punch? Janie's Dad. This book was so uplifting, showing the power of friendship and that family isn't just blood, but the people who are there for you.

I feel like I am not expressing enough how amazing this book was and it is killing me because you just have to read it! Seriously Quinn's humorous side through text? Priceless. I told my husband a number of Quinn jokes and got him laughing.

Another must read in the Knitting in the City Series!!

I would give this more than 5 stars if I could!!

I love Janie and Quinn!
I did not think it was possible for this book to be better than the first but I think it might be. The proposal, the bachelorette party, the wedding, I laughed, I cried, I had a great time. Her friends make me want to find a local knitting group and go every night.
I will never again see drool on a pillow without laughing!

This was the perfect sequel to Neanderthal Seeks Human. It had all the answers, explanations, and the happy beginning of Quinn and Janie's future.

Penny never fails!! Absolutely love this book!! Quinn and Janie are amazing together, and I can't wait to find out what happens with the rest of the knitters...and especially what happens with Dan the Security Man. ...more

A very cute read and a great conclusion to the Janie/Quinn story. The story has plenty of hilarity as well as serious, thoughtful moments. We get to see more into both Janie's and Quinn's family situations and the relationships that are mended as they plan their future together.

Proposing is like giving someone your dick and a sharp knife, then waiting to see what they do next. ...more
