4.5 'Happy Place' Stars
Yes, I've read this before. Multiple times. Even now and again you just want to cuddle with a loved book that doesn't require psychoanalysis to fully understand. It's fun, and familiar, and gives me warm fuzzies.
Can't wait for the series to continue though I *will* be patient because you can't rush a good thing. Maybe I'll do another re-read of #2, #3, and #4? We'll see.

This book is my happy place. It's lovely, and weird, and romantic, and geeky at times, with random bits of trivia (or as I like to refer to it: random useless facts - of which I have more than my fair share.) Janie is this amazeballs Amazon red-headed awkward goddess with a proclivity to spout odd knowledge in an almost Wikipedia type fashion (not literally a goddess, there is no paranormal shenanigans going on in this series) and she makes me laugh almost to the point of pissing myself. That was good. Not my favorite by Reid but still good. I really enjoyed Janie, I found her randomness and eccentricities endearing. I did not really love Quinn. I really wanted to like him, especially since his character is prevalent and important to the other books, but I just didn't find his character attractive. He struck me as overbearing and pushy. Loved the narration of this book. I like the major characters, Quinn and Jane. It was fun watching them struggle to find an HEA. I listened to this with the husband. I think I laughed more over his comments than I did the story at times.
