I honestly hadn't heard of this book until the movie came out, and I picked it up so I could read it before going to see the film. I was surprised by the reviews from other Goodreads members. There seem to be two camps; either you loved it or you hated it. I fall into the former category.

I thought the story was good, it was a little slow in some spots, but the story was good enough to continue on...I enjoyed the characters and I like books that have some kind of history about where the story took place...
