I'm not sure how I escaped being assigned this book at some point in my educational experience (especially my British Lit class at Ricks College!), but I'm glad I did, since I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much had it been assigned reading. This book requires closer attention to understand because of the older style of English, but it still manages to captivate and draw you in. While not exactly happy, the ending does at least contain some measure of justice, and some hope for the future ...more
