What Members Thought

Maybe there isn't such a thing as fate. Maybe it's just the opportunities we're given, and what we do with them.
This is the 3rd book in The Lunar Chronicles and I absolutely love Cress! Both the book and the person. She's so adorable--adorkable! Cress, the satellite girl, trapped by Mistress Sybil because she's such a useful hacker. She dreams of Earth and thinks she's a damsel in distress, idolizing Thorne and hoping he'll rescue her. She's definitely a dreamer.

This series just gets better, and BETTER!
Rooting for Cinder and her rag tag group of misfits made up of a wanted criminal, an android, a genetically modified wolf, a Lunar Shell and an aging Lunar doctor, is so, so easy to do! You WANT this group of good guys to win!
And when the evil Queen Levana and her E-VILE minions make their appearances throughout the story? You want nothing more than than for their failure and yes, total and utter destruction.

In Cinder magic turned a cyborg into a princess, who I couldn't help liking. But the clock struck twelve in Scarlet and the magic turned into a disappointment, which made me lose interest in this series. Luckily, I found this charming glass slipper in Cress, and I'm glad to say that it perfectly fits my taste.

"But you're a prisoner," said Thorne.
"I prefer damsel in distress," she murmured.

I had a whole post typed out ready to post and... lost it in transit between home and Uni. And since it's my first week back at Uni after 3 months off, and each of my kids have been sick over the last week, I'm just too tired to try and rewrite it, so here's the condensed version.

If this series teaches you anything it should be that communication could solve so many of our own issues. I'm really enjoying the character progression and the story flow. Meyer's is beyond amazing in making you binge read and having you demand more. I have backed myself into a corner, I must now wait for the next installment.
