I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am addicted to this series. This book gave me the moments I had been waiting for since pretty much the end of book two/ the start of book three. With the size of these books that's a lot of waiting!

We finally got more Bree and more Roger. Hallelujah! The duo take up a good chunk of this book where they previously only took a few chapters up before - I couldn't be more happy about it. We see more of all of the characters we love, as well as some new ch ...more

Same wonderful descriptions and historically interesting, but the pacing became a bit too rhythmic, and the elements of suspense a bit cheap. I'll keep reading the series, though! ...more
