Great writing, kept me enveloped in anticipating the outcome at every turn. This was my first Wilkie Collins book and it won't be the last.

Definitely one of the better books I have read in quite some time. It reminded me in some ways of "Rebecca", which I really like. The characters were easy to relate to, the plot grabbed me from the start, and all the loose ends were tied up nicely by the finish. Highly recommend.
