Qué difícil evaluar este libro.
Lo bueno:
Por una parte la historia de 1975 y en general los flashbacks son muy buenos. La historia de amor aunque un poco a-la-lolita es también de lo mejor. Todo digno de unas 4.5 estrellas incluyendo el desenlace de la historia de Luther.
Lo malo:
Por otra parte, la redacción es muy poco depurada en muchos pasajes y los diálogos románticos son en su mayoría absurdos cortesía de Harry y Nola; me chocaron sus notas al inicio de cada capítulo, y abusa del deus ex ma ...more

Well that was a truly mighty read , so many twists and turns. I feel exhausted after reading this book , but I'm so glad I did as it lived up to the hype when it first got released.
Some great characters , a lot to keep track on as the plot takes you in so many different directions with each character.
It was well written though the ending kind of meandered as the truth came out it seemed to have lost its sense of urgency unlike the start of the book. ...more

Having worked in publishing for so long, I am always wary of a book which takes 'publishing' as one of its main planks. Despite that, this is a very accomplished whodunnit and a good study of small-town conservative America, and how in contained communities, it is the outsiders who cause and comment on the idiosyncrasies and evils therein.
