What Members Thought
This book was brutal. Just like The Lord of the Flies or Nazi Germany under Hitler, it shows how basically good people can be led by a few purely evil people to commit atrocious acts. Not a pleasant thing to read about. And sadly, based on real events.
This book was hard for me to give a rating. I went with four stars because the story was well-written, and it had me in suspense the whole time. On the other hand, it's probably the most upset and disgusted that I have ever been while reading a book. It's not something I could read multiple times, and the fact that the inspiration for this story comes from a real family that actually did this to someone is sickening.
