Locke sigue sus aventuras junto a Jean, ahora en una nueva ciudad, Tal Verrar, donde se han autoimpuesto la misión de robar la bóveda de la Aguja del Pecado, gran "casino" donde acuden los ricos y pobres, regentado por un tal Requin, famoso por su crueldad y su avaricia.
Los dos amigos se meterán en unos líos a cuál más enredado y peligroso, yendo a parar a un barco en el cual deben recorrer los océanos para seguir con los engaños.

I am a sucker for well-made characters. Give me a bad story with great characters and I will sit-up in attention, roll over with glee, and lap at it hungrily. But throw me a good story along with that and I will hound - a loyal, relentless fangirl.

Very slow at the start but very Locke Lamora in the second half. Very glad that I finished it.

I would probably give this 4.5 stars. How can a book be so entertaining and yet so sad that I almost wanted to cry at a few parts? (Don't worry. I didn't actually cry. My heart is made of stone.)
