Loved this. Thought I may not like this but too many friends gave it good reviews to not read. Quoting a quote because I cannot do this book justice.

"Spectacular...exuberant....Station 11 offers comfort and hope to those who believe, or want to believe, that doomsday can be survived, that in spite of everything people will remain good at heart, and that when they start building a new world they will want what was best about the old". Normally I am not a fan of dystopia books but I loved this one. It did leave me wanting more info at the end (what happens to these characters!?!) but that is my own control issue coming out. This book left me thinking about it for awhile after I finished....always a good sign

Super interesting post-apocalyptic novel. I loved the way the timeline bounced around a little. It made it very interesting to read. For the record, after the world ends, I totally call the job of conductor of the traveling symphony. :-)

Week 38 of the 2017 Reading Challenge: A novel inspired by a work of classic literature. According to a list of suggestions for the week, this book was inspired by Fahrenheit 451. I love post apocalyptic novels so was really looking forward to this one. It was good. I think. It wasn't the norm for that genre as there were no roving bands of zombies or Mad Max type gangs. It was

I did not like this book! I wanted to like it because everyone gave it 5 stars! I just couldn't get into it! I didn't like the back and forth of it and the fact I didn't identify with or like one single character in it! when I don't like a character it makes it hard to love! oh well! ...more

I'm not usually one for "apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic" books - but I'm glad I picked this up. I would have liked a little more of the book to be devoted to the period during/immediately after the pandemic, but it was great nonetheless! ...more

This is a really well crafted, interesting read. My only issue is the genre. I really struggle with apocalyptic story lines. The book with haunt you and keep you thinking.
