I know I didn't like this nearly as much as I should have - maybe it's the planner in me, but so many of the issues on the PCT could have been avoided THROUGH PROPER PREPARATION AND RESEARCH. ...more

I did not pick up this book because it was selected by Oprah, though now I know it is on her book cub 2.0 list, I can understand why she would have selected it.

The author's impulsiveness makes her someone I have difficulty relating to and find frustrating as her journey progresses. In subsequently reading interviews, I find the author more relatable and I appreciate that she believes that anyone of us could have this sort of experience of needing to find oneself after having faced crises and jus

What a great way to spend a day sick in bed. Loved the detail and the sheet bravery of Cheryl. The relationship with her and her mom gives everyone perspective on their own relationship with their mother. I loved it.

Pretty interesting book with some funny stories, touching moments, and tense experiences on a nearly 1000 mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail.

So inspiring, both liked and disliked Cheryl at times, but admired her raw honesty. And more than that, admired her brave. What an adventurer! I would love to hike just a days worth of that trail just to see what she did! Amazing book that I read from Sunday to Tuesday because I could not put it down!
