I absolutely loved this book! Francie is a bright, well-read child of 11 when it starts and grows as the sorry progresses. I loved reading about how life was in the early 1900s before all the technology that we take for granted. Also how flushed out the main characters were and how you really felt their emotions during key scenes.

I loved this book so much- I think it is my favorite. I experienced a full range of emotions reading this story. Francie broke my heart and melted it at the same time. There are so many important life lessons in these pages. Everyone should read it.
