What Members Thought

This book is so terrific. Cary Elwes shares his personal feelings about being part of a cult classic. The personal stories that he shares about the cast members are delightful, especially the stuff about the gentle giant that was Andre the Giant. Listening to the audiobook is even better, as Elwes narrates and many of the other cast lend their voices for personal anecdotes and tidbits. If William Goldman's novel is "the good parts version" of S Morgenstern's book, then in likewise manner, this b

This is a tight three stars for me, but I think three stars is absolutely fair because the book easily matches the title and teaser. Cary Elwes eagerly reflects on his role in this film, and I really like that he includes snippets from everyone. Occasionally there is a little bit of overlap, so it feels like overkill.

A very enjoyable read . I'm a big fan of The Princess Bride and also.of Cary Elwes's acting.
This book has been a joy to read , with all the input from other actors , director etc making it more interesting with little snippets of their time on set.
Cary Elwes has a easy , funny style with his autobiography of his time filming The Princess Bride and I'm glad that he shared it with us. ...more
