I genuinely don't know where to even start with these books. I'm one of a very small minority who came to them without knowing what to expect. I saw it in the bestsellers chart, and I had a vague notion that people had been talking about it, so I bought it. I began to read the book before I'd even read the blurb.
In a sense, that was a good thing. If I had known what I know now I wouldn't have touched the book with a bargepole. I have received a few laughs from friends when I told them that I tho ...more

I'm finding it hard to put into words how awkward I found this book.
The writing style is atrocious; can someone get the author a thesaurus? or how about the editor?
The parallels to Twilight are so pronounced that it's laughable.
Where's the plot? Nothing happens in the entire book other than a lovestruck college girl has internal struggles about a man. Her "inner goddess" and conscious are hilarious. She talks to them like she's crazy. It's funny, but weird. (Also, I would think an inner goddess ...more

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why and how this book got so popular. The writing is pretty much bland, the characters are flat, irritating, 50 shades of not-interesting, the story itself is painfully naive, sex scenes are ridiculous - as if the author truly did had an idea to make them out to be really, really hardcore and then she panicked and instead went for the...no idea what!
So why did I read the freakin`book? I guess, like everyone else, I wanted to know what the fuss was about. ...more

I wish I could have given this book negative stars. It was so poorly written, no style or vocabulary and the writer writes as if she were 12 years old. In fact I'm pretty sure a 12 year old could come up with better sentences than this writer. I felt like smacking the heroine, who is brainless, has multiple personalities (an inner goddess and a subconscious) and who expresses all emotions with the words Holy crap, holy fuck and holy shit! Really. what's up with that? I've read mills and boons bo

arrr I guess it's my OCD tendencies but I just can't stand to NOT read this....must know what it's all about....here goes...... Not as bad as some are making it out to be in my opinion. It's really a love story, in a sad and sadistic way. Real love stories aren't all butterflies and rainbows and this story is true to form in that aspect. I've read erotica and though this has graphic details of sex, it's really not the main focus. Glad I read it on my kindle because I had to check out several def
