What Members Thought

"If I Stay" is not the sort of book I usually go in for. I don't like books that make me cry, and YA isn't my usual bag. I picked this up at the library on a whim - it was part of a display, and I liked the cover. In spite of all that, I really enjoyed this book.
Maybe it's because I'm a classical musician, but Mia felt like a real person to me, like one of my friends from high school, when we were all applying to conservatories, with no idea of what life might hold. Is it a sad book? Yes. I tear ...more

Yes, I was crying by the end...the themes of family, love, and choice were all so heart-touching. I hadn't expected to be overwhelmed with such emotion and I loved it.
