I listened to the audio version of World War Z with a strong recommendation from a friend. I normally do not read zombie books or watch movies or TV programs. I was reluctant to take a shot at WWZ, but I'm glad I did not judge this book based on my likes and dislikes. I enjoyed WWZ extremely well. This book's main topic was dealing with a large part of the population that has turned in zombies. The book deals with how non affected humans deal with eradicating the zombies from earth. Week #3 for the 2015 Reading Challenge was a book made in to a movie. I saw bits and pieces of the movie and now that I have read the book, I am wondering if the people that wrote the screenplay actually read the book. They are nothing alike.

That being said, I did enjoy the book quite a bit. And if you aren't a horror/zombie fan, you may enjoy it as well. It's not really about zombies but rather a collection of interviews with people regarding their experiences during the war and how they have s ...more

Definitely the best zombie novel I have ever read, and maybe the best apocalyptic novel too. So believable it's literally scary. Definitely would recommend this one to any fans of the genre. ...more
