He moves around at night via the the storm drains and service tunnels under the city to visit the central library and there he meets Gwyneth, another person who likes him hides her true appearance and also struggles to trust people.

I am a huge Dean Koontz fan so I have been looking forward to reading this. I am disappointed. It was good but I expect more from Dean. The theme seems to be one encountered before in his novels and it wasn't a scary, edge of your seat thriller. ...more
