One of my campers this week, a fourteen-year-old baby-feminist who was reading 'The Handmaid's Tale' told me she loved Stephen King and all kinds of horror. She only came one day instead of all five, so I didn't get a chance to tell her most of the horror genre is just a man's fantasy, and that Beloved is actually one of the scariest things I've ever read. ...more
