This book has a highly unusual structure, but it's weilded with an expert hand. I found it to be refreshingly original, as well as compelling--I was in tears at the end, and could hardly go to sleep once I'd finished. It is that gripping.

Keep the tissues close by -- but don't let that stop you from reading, and loving this book.
