What Members Thought

A hilarious and captivating look at Lawson’s early childhood years and her coming-into-adulthood years. Her childhood is definitely unique and I found myself gasping and laughing at her stories. I also enjoyed how she moved into her adulthood years with marrying young, navigating that and finding herself beyond just a mom and wife. Great memoir!

at first I wasn't so sure about this. the "crazy" childhood Jenny discusses seems kinda run of the mill, probably because I grew up in an area just as rural with some insane men killing animals. anyway, though it took me awhile, I lol-ed on several occasions. some parts are moving, which I felt was a bonus because I was only expecting laughs.

There are some hysterical parts to this book and then there were times when I had no clue why I was reading it. The laughter outweighed the boredom. But I just don't know why this was a #1 NY times bestseller....Crazy. Anything that can make your stomach hurt from laughter is good, so worth that.

some parts were laugh out loud funny, but overall I just didn't dig it. "memoir" for 2015 challenge.

This was my "recommended by a friend" #2015ReadingChallenge book. There were definitely some "laughing so hard I can't see parts," but they were few and far between.
