Romance
I'm proud of myself for reading this for the romance "week." I enjoy reading the classics but sometimes they're a struggle for me. At the time I thought this book was no different, but it's been a few weeks now since I've read it and it's still with me. This was the first Austen novel I read.... and did not expect to be a fan....and the beginning did not impress me. But I began to appreciate the finely woven, yet simple, story. Then...somewhat disappointed with the ending...everything gets wrapped up so quickly...and we never get to see Mr. Elliot squirm. Too much of a fairy tale ending.
