Persuasion is a classic romance about Anne Elliot, our sweet but easily swayed heroine. Her story starts in the past, when her friend, Lady Russell, was able to persuade Anne out of a relationship with Frederick Wentworth because she believed it was bad for Anne, but Anne has not gotten over it for years. And then after eight and a half years, that man is back in Anne’s life. Will she still be persuaded into a decision that isn’t entirely hers?

I'm proud of myself for reading this for the romance "week." I enjoy reading the classics but sometimes they're a struggle for me. At the time I thought this book was no different, but it's been a few weeks now since I've read it and it's still with me. I think this time I was more frustrated that they didn't get together quicker. ...more
