While there were places I almost enjoyed the reading, the story itself didn't really interest me. It was too "soap operaish" with a loving b but marrying c because b loved d but married e. It was difficult for me to keep track of the characters. And it wasn't a fun love story to read, though I did feel some sympathy for many of the characters, being "cheated" out of happiness by circumstance and the times they lived in. ...more
