This was my second read of Stephen King’s masterpiece. Being one of my favorites, I wondered if it would still hold up eleven years after the my first trip to Derry.
The strengths in this book are areas in which Stephen King has excelled his entire career. The character development is second to none. Whether love them or hate them, King has put in the time and effort to flesh his characters out.

*a book with more than 500 pages*
Well, more like 1,376 pages. This is probably the word-iest book I have ever laid hands on. Leave it to King to turn a book about childhood fears to be 1,300 pages. Also, why did I finish this book with the feeling of "happily ever after" and complete confusion... I had to remind myself that there was some gore and horror but not nearly as much as I had suspected. But seriously... it really is a happily ever after ending *spoiler I suppose??? ...more

“It” is a great example of the genius of Stephen King.
