3.5 stars? I guess?

I love financial books. I've read plenty of them. But the beginning setup of this book almost stymied me. After slogging through that, the actual mystery was entertaining. I was squicked out by all the violence against women (though I loved Salander's revenge). Lisbeth herself is almost superhero-like, which was annoying, but her inner musings were way more interesting than Mikhal's. I'll read the sequel but I hope it doesn't start so boring.

Was a quick read - helped that each chapter seemed to end on a "mini-cliffhanger." I was engaged until the last few chapters, which seemed unnecessary. ...more

I read this because I felt I should. It wasn't bad, good characters and suspenseful. However the first 10% and last 20% were slow and boring. I'll still read the rest of the series probably. ...more

The procedural dryness of a Grisham novel meets the emotional one-dimensionalness of 50 Shades of Grey. Watch the original Swedish-language version of the movie and save yourself the download.

After stuttering through the Swedish names and places in the first few chapters I completely fell into this book. I could not put it down!
