I couldn’t wait to read Dark Heir and it arrived when I was really busy so I had to actually put it down and it took over a week to read, instead of a day! Oh the torture.

I’m so comfortable with these characters and the world now. They feel like the dearest of friends, and enemies. I especially enjoy the relationship which has developed with Jane and her partners, the Younger brothers. Especially since I don’t like how thing ...more

4.5 stars - The Jane Yellowrock series is another audio favorite author/reader combo for me. This one raises the stakes (pun intended) as the creature with the uber powerful blood escapes and cuts a blood drinking and killing swath through New Orleans - and Jane is on the hunt.

I really enjoyed this, yes the brushes with death for Jane do border on a bit much, and the body count is high, but the hunt also involves do sluthing and 'for reasons' the vamps are actually more helpful and more forthcom ...more

With this book there was so much change for Jane. Her closest relationships all seem to go through revelations. I love where things are headed with Bruiser, with the Younger brothers, things with Molly...hmmm not sure there. Molly seemed to step over a line or two, the sad thing is that I'm not sure she realized it. I feel like finally Jane and Leo have come to a place in their relationship where they can work together and not want to kill or control each other.
