When I listened to this book before I rated it as 3 stars, I totally didn't understand what all the fuss was about and honestly thought that Jane Austen could have done with a really good editor to stop her rambling on.
I still don't really understand the fuss, Mrs Bennett, Lydia Bennett, Lady Catherine De Burgh and Mr Collins are still insufferable twits. Mr Bennett should get out of his library and actually try and take a little control in his house, although to be fair I would hide from that ...more

It has been a while since I last read this, though I have read very many P&P what-if's and variations. Nice to be "grounded" on the characters as created by Miss Austen as many fan fiction efforts so strongly change the characters' personalities and attributes as they were originally created.
