I really loved this! Full review to come.

This book was pleasantly surprising. I have heard great things about it but when I started it I felt it was a bit slow and even tedious with all of Sage's stubbornness and unwillingness to just try to become the prince. However, as the book went on I got more and more into it. The turn of events at the end was a surprise even though there were a few times I had suspected I knew what was going on. I have to say that I didn't much like Sage when the story began. I thought he was too arrogant and too sure that he was smarter than everyone around him. He was an orphan boy but he wasn't at all downtrodden. He was an accomplished pickpocket, thief and general rogue. I grew to like him much more as the story progressed because I saw that along with the arrogance he had a good heart and wanted the best for his country.
