Alright, folks…
I’m just not feeling this book right now. I don’t want to push myself into reading it and ending up hating on it.
I’ll be picking it up back as the next week goes and see if I can finish it.

I really liked this entire series. I have seen where some people lost the plot at points or had other issues throughout but for me it was a quick and enjoyable read. I also had the benefit of reading all three back to back and didn't have to take the time to dive back into the world between books, which from experience can make some books lose a bit of love. We left things in a bit of a precarious spot. Alina almost died and her people are beaten down and ...more

Okay here's what I'm going to say about the Grisha series as a whole. I recommend it to someone who wants an introduction to the Fantasy genre, but by no means is this a hardcore fantasy series. And the actual ending was a bit ehhh but hey happy endings all around, right?
I think my problem while trying to write this is that I see the merit in the story. And I genuinely enjoyed the plot. But I never really connected to Alina and I never really ...more

Ale ...more

This trilogy was actually quite entertaining, but I have to admit that it has nothing out of the ordinary in the YA word. A dystopian set up, a main character that thinks it's as plain as a mouse but really isn't, the journey she goes through that really, epically sucks, hot guys, a hot, clever, amazing guy (yes Nikolai, I'm talking about you ;) ) (yes, I just winked to a fictional character....let me be) and people that can manipulate the elements. Even though all of this sounds like a repeat,

This series seriously has my heart!
What an amazing conclusion to the Grisha Trilogy! I absolutely loved this series! I have grown so attached to all of the characters in this book! This series has an amazing element of fantasy, action, suspense, love, heartbreak, tragedy and triumph. This series hit me right in the feels! I found myself rooting for the characters the more I read and spent many late nights up reading! Leigh Bardugo is brilliant and I love her writing style. She truly takes you r ...more

Sigh....it's over.
I'm sitting here trying to think of what I actually felt about this book. I have to say it ended different than I had anticipated. And I liked it...I think...
I loved the Darkling from day one. I know he had flaws but I could see the yearning for companionship and love even if he denied it, and I could relate to that. Nikolai was amazing from the get go. The typical suave, smooth gentlemen that can offer a girl the world and everyone wants the girl to end up with. And Mal...the ...more
