Oh this was sooo good! I loved reading about and getting a background on Celaena even though I read Throne of Glass first, it still was great. This writer is so talented I really enjoy her style and her characters. I'm binge reading Sarah J. Maas' series. Five star favorites so far! ...more

A Random Assortment of Thoughts
-beginning was kind of slow, but after that, unputdownable action
-I knew what was going to happen. It still hit me in the gut. Like, horrified and devastated
-This was brutal, but also beautiful, and really explored how the two of them could co-exist. Especially in The Assassin and the Healer
-The worldbuilding was great, especially the desert and the Silent Assassins, but the romance...perhaps the reason I enjoyed the desert novella the most was because it was about ...more
