Heart stopping read that kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails while reading as fast as I could turn the pages. Intense suspense at its best!

This is marked as the first book in the Rizzoli & Isles series but, unless I totally missed her, the Isles half of the duo is missing. I listened to the audiobook which was really short, only about 5 hours, so it's possible she was mentioned and my mind glossed right over it. Anyway, overall I just didn't feel very impressed with this book. The killer comes across like a pretentious snot and his MO for killing women delivers a clear message of his hatred for the gender. He's now terrorizing a wo ...more

Perfection...a great suspense story with a great nemesis! While you may not identify with Jane and Maura you can't help but like them and want to know more. Jane and Maura are completely different in personalities - and also very different from other book characters in this genre. Gerritsen's Rizzoli and Isles is more of a gritty mystery suspense than romantic suspense. There is a TV series based on this series, called Rizzoli & Isles but is lighter and the t

This is a well written book that maintains its tension throughout and I enjoyed this book . However, it is a very gritty book and I wouldn't recommend anyone reading it who didn't enjoy gritty books! If you do enjoy gritty this may be the book for you. Gerritsen obviously uses her knowledge as a doctor to good effect in this. I somehow feel the end of this book won't be the end of the story. 4.5 Stars. ...more

This book was so good. It took me a minute to get into it, but I loved it. I loved the medical terminology. I've never seen the show but now I'm interested in watching it. I can't wait to continue with the series.

The main character of Rizzoli was hard to like in the beginning, but she grew on me. I think I'm going to like her even more as I keep going.

A serial killer is butchering women in Boston. The police don't have much to go on, until they find that there was identical murders in Savannah a couple of years ago where the last victim shot the killer. That last victim, Dr. Catherine Cordell, has since moved to Boston. Could this series of murders have something to do with her?

Wow! Fantastic suspense that keeps the reader glued to the book. My rating: 5 Stars.

A great start to a series that I have been meaning to start for a long time. Rizzoli annoys me a little bit so I'm hoping she'll improve in the next book! ...more
