Another great legal thriller from Michael Connelly featuring Mickey Haller, made famous in The Lincoln Lawyer. I enjoy how Mickey is haunted by his past mistakes, but doesn't let it drag him into a quagmire of drinking or other destructive behavior. He perseveres in trying to re-establish a relationship with his daughter and takes another chance on love, but goes into the relationship honestly and slowly.
